Bassano del Grappa is a medieval small town which lies at the foot of Prealpi Vicentine. Enjoy the sight of Brenta river flowing through while walking on the roofed wooden brigde Ponte degli Alpini, also known as Ponte Vecchio. The wooden bridge was first designed by Andrea Palladio and rebuilt several times, despite of this it has kept its original look. Its last rebuilting has been done after the second World War.
Finest taste buildings stand all around the town's streets and walking down into the old town centre you can admire the three central squares where overlook beautiful old mansions just as Monte di Pietà and the Town Hall Lodge. In Piazza Garibaldi you find the Museo Civico which collects amoung its works also various paintings by the painter Jacopo da Ponte.
